Default Normal for dealer to install Battery Tender dongle?

I went out to install my battery tender dongle today and noticed that someone already put on on. I bought the bike brand new around 2 months ago and it only had 6 or 7 miles on it. Why would a dealer install just the dongle and not give the charger to the customer?

Reject,

Perhaps there was a prior deal on this bike which fell through and part of it was the installation to which you refer. If it were me, I would buy a battery tender and have done with the matter. On the other hand perhaps there is a tender is at the dealer which goes with this bike. Why not ask them?

Cheers,

Curtis

Maybe not normal for all but at least you can assume they maintained your battery while the bike was sitting.

Very Normal!

Make sure that you keep a log of Charging your Battery at least once a month. BMW has a thing about warranty on the battery unless you can show a log of monthly charging. Now you know....
