Wheelies?
Well, I'm relatively new here (Yup, I'm a lurker), but I was wondering: how do you all feel about wheelies? I mean, I sincerely feel like a retarded squid when I'm carrying the wheel a half mile down the highway, but there's something strangely addicting about it, and I'm a darn happy retarded squid when doing it. It's almost the same feeling as being leaned over at an unreasonable angle on the perfect mountain roads. And it's not showing my a** either, cause I get a kick out of it even when by myself on back roads. SOOO.... wheelies, yay or nay?

We got a bit of both on here... some one wheel folks and those that keep em both down unless by accident. And then of course you'll always have some that don't like it all...
Mixed bag.

It's part of the bike experience IMO but I wouldn't do it on the highway, deserted back roads: yes.

Hate it or love it I would have to imagine EVERY S1K owner has brought the front wheel up, on purpose or not!

I usually dont ride wheelies but during the winter(Temps in the 40's) you cant lean the bike so i tend to ride wheelies during this time of year. BMW made this bike to be exciting. Whether it is a mile long wheelie, 190mph, or dragging a knee it is all fun in my book

Iv always had a love for wheelies but never really got in to it until recently. Iv always done 1st gear power sit downs, but just a week ago Iv started to do power staggered stand ups in 2nd and 3rd gear on the hywy. It is stupid to do but like you said theres just something about it that makes me want to do it ALOT. To each his own, just know your limitations.

I love me a good power wheelie. Im not good enough (ballsy enough?) to find the balance point and ride it, Ill bring her up for a bit, then gently set her down.
Would I love to ride mile-long wheelies? Hell yeah. With this bike? My wallet can't afford it right now
When I get myself another R6 beater? For sure
But I would never, ever do it on public roads. That is very dangerous and completely illegal and I don't ever ride faster than the speed limit either <looks over shoulder for big brother>
