+1 brilliant helmet and very very quiet. You can also buy integrated Bluetooth for it if that's what you like.
bees knees of road helmets with Sun visor.
Most of the helmets people are mentioning haven't even got sun visors maybe they don't read the first post?

I have the Star also, Been an excellent helmet. One of the best ventilated helmets I have used.. I cant say anything bad about the transitions shield. Not having the internal tinted drop down saves a bit of weight.

I've got a Shoei RF 1100. I love it. It is light weight, has good visibility, and is very comfortable.
My only complaint is the wind noise. It is the only helmet I've ever owned, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it is deafening at freeway speeds. I have never heard anyone else complain about the noise of this helmet though, so maybe I have some misaligned vents or a weird shaped head. /shrug

Try riding with ear plugs. They block out all the wind noise and let you hear everything else. I won't ride without them.

Have you tried Schuberth? I have 2 and absolutely love them. Best helmets I have owned in 25 years of various other brands.

Hoping to get an SR1 soon .... they are $900, but there are places overseas that sell them for around $629, but you have to be careful that US customs doesnt hit you with duties (taxes)
Using an HJC RPS10 right now, it is a good helmet, light, pretty quiet, DOT and SNELL, and they were on sale for cheap a while back because they came out with an updated model, very limited sizes available now .. motorcyclegear.com had a Black in XXL for $139 shipped right now ...

Just got my SR1 (Technology White) a week and a half ago. It's the US version (DOT)... not that that necessarily means a ton... It's pretty badass!!
