Change 2013 Right Top Fairing

Well folks,

I have a 2012 and my dealer got a 2013 in stock. There is a slight protrusion on the side of the right top fairing sort of under the right headlight and just above the winglet. I was mystified but found out what it was all for.

Do you know? Check it out.

Merry Christmas,

Curtis

It is for improved aerodynamics around the front of the bike.

Technology just oozes from every little area of our machines!

Well it's not on my 2012 and it's not for aerodynamics, even though it is so shaped and it's not on the left side of the fairing which one would think it would be if it was for aerodynamics.

Try again?

Can't see it, but your description and location are correct. What year is your bike?

Check your bike again. If it really doesn't have it take a picture and post it. All s1k's have that. It's clearly visible in all pics of the right side....especially pronounced in the last pic under right headlight.

Hard to tell because of the dark color, but it's right at the tip of the winglet.

Answer: It's there to allow room for the high-beam lamp module.
