Ok, just to cap off this thread, solution to fool s1000rr ecm is a 20W 8ohm resister wired in parallel to the brake pos/neg and all will work fine (assuming you have an all LED set up with LED front/rear signals and an LED brake light). Now the flash rate is a different issue altogether, and will probably require a flasher relay or fiddle with more resisters. I'll let you know, but brake issue solved
The S1000RR tail light (and almost all BMW tail lights for that matter) work with PWM, or Pulse Width Modulation for short (google that one). Don't know what differences there are as far as hardware in the taillight goes, but since you fixed it we know it can work.
