Had to visit local bestbuy store to buy dvd/bd player (as our old one died) and as I was walking around the store discovered that they have GoPro stand (!) with either white or silver edition hero 3 on display. Out of curiosity, I asked the sales girl if they have black edition in stock and she said "yes, we have a few of them"... A couple of days ago I've called GoPro to ask about availability of black edition and have been told that if ordered now, it will be shipped not earlier than beginning of December.
So, to make story short, here is my comparison to Hero2 in pictures. Didn't have an opportunity to compare pictures and/or video yet...
