The reason i am asking is that i wrecked my 2010 two weeks ago, and if the insurance writes a check, then i was wondering if i should buy another 2010 or get a 2012.
I have tons of mods on my 2010. Does anyone know if the mods are covered by State Farm?

With all ur mods I would buy an 2011 that way u still get some warrenty and all ur parts will fit. It doesn't make sense to buy a bike u plan on have 4-5 years cause the way we ride it won't last that long.
Just wanted to let you know that when I let my Hayabusa fall off the stand in the driveway, State Farm covered everything including the Yoshimura exhaust without question under my comprehensive claim. It was actually the biggest ticket item and there were only minor scratches on a small, replacable heat shield.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I must admit I was hoping for a write off to get the 12. Like yourself I had a few mods and was lucky enough to to have been a damage to them. They all fitted the 12 fine.
Good point on the shorter throttle turn. That was also a good point about the 12 I liked. I forgot how irritating I found the long turn on the 10.
