Default Am I alone here??

Congrats to those buying new bikes but I honestly would not trade my 2010 if it was an even trade for the hp4. I finally got just about every mod on that I wanted and I have bonded with the bikes "soul". I feel like I know this bike...kinda like marriage lol. I'm not gonna go chasing after every little ***** who has slightly more bling . Am I the only one that feels a strong connection with his bike and does not want to give it up? It seems like everyone on here just wants to trade up to the latest SK1 model? Maybe it's because I'm a street rider and don't need anything beyond the awesome capabilities of the 2010?

You mighty wanna make a dr. appointment in the morning, because you have a few screws loose if you would not trade a 2010 for hp4 straight up. Lol.

I track ride but don't get paid to do so. I don't need the newest thing. I also have almost every performance mod other than wheels. With my skill level the wheels will wait for another season.
It will be hard for a me to trade my 2011.
A lot of time and effort has been put into to get just the way I want.
HP4 is a awesome bike.
I am going to buy a street bike in the spring. But it will not be a sport bike anymore.
More than likely a dual sport as a second bike.

Lol I'm not saying I don't have any screws loose! Im asking if I'm the only one that bonds with these damn things. I'm the same way with cars. I bought a range rover in 2004 and have not traded up despite all the new gadgets the new models have and being able to financially afford it with ease. Maybe it's the testosterone levels falling off as I get older and I'm becoming more like a chick!

I'm happy with my s1000rr. Since I have the DTC and ABS disabled, I might not feel the difference between a HP4. But I might get one some day...

2010 bike here and I wont sell this one. I cant see myself ever needing a faster bike.

This will end up as track only and my next road bike not be a sports bike.

See I am just the opposite of you, I cant hold on to anything, always looking for the latest and greatest, maybe its me with the screws loose

If I told you how many 2012 bikes I have had and trucks you would flip a lid.

same overhere.i won't trade my 197bhp/193kg 2011 s1k.if i trade up for an hp4 i still have to modify/customize it.i would have still had to purchase the items i currently have on my 2011 s1k (exhaust, pc5, k+n, gpr damper, white carbon body, ohlins shock+fork internals, 520 kit, brembo rcs, wave discs, hid's, bst's, gilles rearsets+adjusters, clipons etc.) in order to make my hp4 nicer so what's the point.i might miss the refined electronics of the hp4 but that's it.it won't be faster or nicer than my 2011 s1k

Unlike most of you, I'm not interested in the HP4. I don't even like the color scheme. My skill level falls well short of my 12 anyway. Some just want bragging rights, some need to have the latest and greatest, I think that's cool. If you can afford it, and you want it...get it!

For me though, my red twelve is all I need. Oh, and new tires soon.

you're not alone brother. the only thing that the hp4 has that i'd like on my bike is the electronic suspension but thats not worth it to me. i havent had traction control on for 1.5 years, just dont ever use it, everything else is just bling thats irrelevant to me. and yeah i've definately developed an attachment to it with all the work i've put into it.
