Late 2017...or 2018 RR: Game-changer

Hearing BMW has some real tricks up their sleeve after next year...or late next year. Something to "revolutionize" the sportbike segment.

Many guesses...no one talking. Some here have speculated carbon frame...that would be my guess, too.

Be interesting to know what other "tricks" members here think might be on the drawing board.

Anything to do with suspension or engine enhancements seem "evolutionary"...but the word I heard was "revolutionary".

Who knows, it's all speculations. But here you go:

carbon frame.

Integrated helmet HUD display to pull info from the bike.

Upgraded DDC with some crazy settings. Suspension tricks learned from M4 GTS copied to bikes.

Engine with water cooled valves.

A rubber hole in the tank to keep guys from going too hard.

Upgraded dashboard.

TFT dash I would expect to be next. The other brands have already made that leap.

In the early 90s the Britten had a carbon frame of sorts and swing arm was allowed to race.
