It fits me perfectly, and feels as if I am sitting in it rather than on it. It is a damn sight easier to push through the twisties.
What he said. I'm older than you, and I'm enjoying this bike much more than any others I have owned. Much more. It's a more aggresive posture than the K1300, but probably more comfortable than the duc.

after about a year of the bimmer I was startled by the extreme track bike sitting position of the 1198. most of my miles are in tenge road not the track so the BMW feels great to me. oh and 6'1" 205 and 28

I am 55 5'7" and weigh about 140-145...I haven't gotten my 2012 yet (supposed to next Saturday)...I have ridden a lot of different bikes and expect I will be very comfy on the Red beast when she arrives...You should be fine. I understand the 2012's handlebars are slightly closer than the previous models (I have long arms for my height so wouldn't matter to me)...I say go for it.

And my R1200S before the 1098.

Cool scooters dude...they look badass.

I fit right in with a few of you guys - I'm 5'7" between 145 and 150 lbs. and 54 years young (at least in my mind). I really liked my K1200S - never felt heavy or too big to me.

I seem to fit the RR a little better than my S - of course the RR will not provide the ride of the S - then again - I'm not looking for that type of ride out of the RR.

I am 6'1" and 280...was able to ride my 2006 zx10 for 5hrs in a sitting no problem. I am expecting the 2012 s1k to be more comfortable than that. It's what someone else said...use your core to keep weight off the bars.

I'm 39 and 5' 10", 150 pounds. My 2011 S1 fits me very well. I will say that my arse hurts after anything more than an hour of riding.

My 2007 R1 is probably the most comfoortable sport bike i have ridden. I really feel that the S1000RR(2011) is very comfortable as well. I only notice a difference at about one hour through agressive riding. My legs get a little sore on the BMW. I am not taking any breaks during that time either. Overall you should find the bike very comfortable. 32 years old, 200 pounds, and 6'1"
