Should I take the Tricolor in stock or wait on a Red one?
I've had a deposit down on a Red one for about a month now and was assured their first one was red and I'd get it two weeks ago, but it came in as a demo so they can't sell it....then they tried to "trade" for one locally but no go then they told me their BMW rep put in a request to get another red one from the port in Jersey and now that has been delayed and they aren't sure when they will get another red one (one is in build in germany)...though they are checking with the BMW rep later today to see if there is anything he can do to get one quicker. So my salesman says they have a Tricolor that is being put together now and I can have that one for the price of a red one (No tricolor additional cost)....I told him I really want the red one...but now I'm not sure...I have my helmet and alpinestars jacket and haven't ridden in years so I am jonsing bad to get this beast....what should I do, go for the tricolor or wait on a red one?
Update: The BMW rep came through and allocated a red one with heated grips (no charge as I wanted one without...Orlando fl.)from the warehouse in Jersey...got my vin and everything, so I should take delivery next saturday Feb 11th...can you say bike week??

I personally like the tri-color... so without being biased, my suggestion is to make sure you get the one YOU want. If you like the red better, wait for the red. It's been my experience that in the end, getting what you want even if it takes a couple more weeks is ALWAYs worth it. Call around to some other dealers, tell them you'll put a deposit down right a way if they can guarantee you a red one. Get your deposit back from Dealer A first though.

Wait for the red one. It's faster
Like stated above, wait for the one you want. You'll be happier in the long run!

Go have a look if you haven't already. Sometimes the actual bike looks more impressive in living colour. The fact that you are even asking suggests your wavering.
I know sometimes my preferences change with time.
when I first saw the rr1k I wanted a black one.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Yeah, that's true Brett. I originally ordered a R,W, & B....but then changed to the green....so glad I did! The green suites my personality!

+1. Its always better to wait a little longer, but get the bike you really want. Whats a couple weeks or a month in the grand scheme of things anyway?

Patience Grasshopper! If this is a bike you're hoping to keep for awhile wait and get the one you really want!
