Default My first thoughts of my 2012

So I've had the bike a little over a week, and I'm finally starting to get used to it, 500mi so far.
I've never really "ridden" a true sport bike for more than a few mile until this one. I came from a Harley, first bike was a Harley lol. Yea so as you can already guess its a totally different animal.

I've only have a few complaints as of now, small all be it, but there.

Headlight visibility just plain sucks, I do some night riding, not high speed twists mind you, just around town, and it disappoints me.

Biggest complaint tho is the Vibration. Especially around 4k and 7k, bars, seat, and pegs mostly. It's just annoying.

Power is something that I will comment on later, after its uncorked of course. So far I'm happy with my purchase.

Congratulations on purchase. And welcome to the board!!!
From myself will add that vibrating bar ends can be fixed by an aftermarket ones, I have R&G installed, worked for me, but sure someone else will recommend another brand. I don't feel any vibration in seat or pegs thought. Visibility I guess fixed by HIDs, but I think it is also personal preference... And power, yeah... wait for the after the first service, you'll feel it...

Ride safe!

Vibration will go away after engine seats in. My bike has 2000K on the clock and is now silky smooth.
Did I say I love my bike?

Congrats...I was supposed to pick mine up this week then they told me next weekend and now they are hedging on that. I haven't read anything about vibration issues in any of the tests I have read...for $18K I expect it to be smooth as a silk missile...good luck with yours.

You cant experience this bike under 9k rpm. This bike can only be appreciated with the front wheel rising up at 130mph. or coming out from dragging your knee and as the bike comes upright the wheel comes flying up in the air from all of the power. Being limited to 9k makes it feel like a 500cc bike. Oh and i havent had any vibration issues whatsoever.
