Default Nice to know the 2012 is TWO SECONDS a lap faster than it's competitors!

Motorcycle News just tested all the inline 4 liter bikes and the 2012 BMW S1000RR was TWO SECONDS a LAP faster than any of it's competitors!

Way cool...I'd really like to see a low mileage 2011 vs 2012 on the same track...from the tests I have read the 2012 comes out of slow(er) corners now like the R1 and is quicker/sharper handling like the blade...I bet it would beat the 2011 too....but let's see what it does against the panigali...

p.s. I can't wait for Feb. 4th to get here (my delivery date for my red beast)

BTW no apostrophe in "its" when it is possessive...only when you are abbreviating "it is".....sorry i'm anal that way...lol

That test left out Aprilia and 1199.

2 seconds is huge indeed. I'm tempted, but I still think I'll hold out for the next iteration. Great article though, I missed it the first time. Makes me proud of our "baby."

So what, who cares what you're anal about. I'm anal about capitalization, like the "i" in "i'm", which "BTW" is always capitalized in a contraction if used as a first person singular pronoun. Furthermore, you didn't capitalize the first letter "p" in the proper noun Panigali, another flagrant error. Also take for instance your neglect in capitalizing the abbreviation for postscript, "p.s.", it's not correct either. Not to mention your usage of ellipses is wrong.

What crass arrogance and awful rudeness in a post from someone with a grand total of 16 days of membership and who doesn't even own the bike. Your comment contributed absolutely nothing to the body of knowledge here. Saying "sorry" to excuse your idiosyncrasy and putting "lol" at the end doesn't make it kosher.

Instead of publicly ridiculing his contribution, you could have been discreet about it and sent him a PM if it bothered you that bad. The point is that it's not your board let alone your thread, so save the English lesson. This forum is a great resource because of a variety of riders who actually contribute, unlike a couple of other boards dedicated to our bikes; let's keep it that way.

edit: *Hate to fan a flame, but I was already typing before I saw AATRM's post.*
