For the moment we do not know a thing about 1199 performance. In the other side we have a powerful and well tested S1000RR.We have to wait and see how good is 1199.I personally believe that 1199 will be a very good bike but I do not know if it could win BMW and in what way (track, street, electronics, power etc).

Have the 1199 S on pre-order. Will take a test ride once it hits the dealers in March and then decide whether I want to drop the cash or not.

Well... I have a Panigale Tricolore arriving in March/April, so I will be able to ride them back to back...

My S1000RR has a full Akrapovic, custom PCV map; the Ducati will have the race system from Termignoni fitted by my dealer, along with the appropriate mapping. It should be VERY interesting to say the least and I am really looking forward to finding out.

The Ducati is really beautiful but looks like they still have technical problems and very disapointed about Rossi results...

There is zero similarity between the Moto GP Bike and Ducati's Sport Bikes... A closer analogy would be the WSS 1000 category... BMW and Ducati have dominated this class over the last 2 years.

I'm pretty sure he was trying to make the point that you can't compare anything to a MotoGP bike.
