Default Thunder Gray?

Which color do they call Thunder Gray? Is it the Tank and swingarm or is it the upper and fairings?

I found the paint code but not sure which is the thunder gray

The color Thunder Gray refers to the fairings. On the BMW cars it is very similar to the color Black Sapphire Metallic, but just a little bit difference in the shade between the two.

I own a Thunder Gray 2011 S1000RR that I drag race. I plan on changing the swing arm polished, having the wheels polished with the forks powder coated black, and painting the tank painted Thunder Gray as well. I will have it all done sometime in March. As soon as I get it all done, I'll post some pictures on this site first.

Just for the record, the black color with flecks of green and blue-purple is called Thunder Grey. The greyish (in some lights has brown tones) color on the tank and the swingarm (unless unpainted of course) is the same as Ostra Grey on other BMW bikes.

BMW says that they don't have a name for the tank color, but I have verified, by getting touch-up paint and fixing a scratch on the tank, that Ostra Grey is the correct color. You need a semi-gloss clearcoat on top to make it match, but it is correct.
