Default Nurburgring Suggestions?

I've decided to actually use the S1000 for what it's designed for and have just booked to go to the ring this summer, can anyone offer any suggestions or things to bear in mind?

Like any other road you havent ridden on before. Take a lap or two to get your bearings for the track. Then speed it up some. Dont take it to the edge until you really know your track. Some turns gets tighter as you go through them. Be careful and post up your video.

When are you going?

I also heard that it was dangerous when they let the cars mix in with the bikes.

Firstly its a public toll road, you pays ya money you takes ya chance. Its certainly not for the faint hearted! In my experience as a 'ringer' cars(fast) do not give a shite, you spend too much time mirror looking before each bend to stay alive, you will never remember all the track, there are no direction arrows for the bends (a lot are blind) and if you intend using the s1k how its suppose to be used it will probably come back in a box with you beside it..........A group of us used to go alternate years, the last 3 times at least 1 of us has been run off the track.
BUT, what a buzz !!!!!!! Treat it with respect and you might just survive it. If you google nordschlief (think thats how you spell it) which is the 'ring', you will get an insight, good, but mainly bad...............Enjoy but stay safe

Well I'm definitely going as the ferry's been booked for the end of June. Unfortunately you can't video it as it's not allowed (shame as I have a GoPro). I've been wanting to do this for years so I finally committed to it along with a mate in a busa, I'll wait for him at the end ;-)

I'll keep my eye out for the cars not giving crap. As with motorcycling it's risky whenever you do it but you've gotta enjoy it while you can :-)
