I'm excited...according to my dealer my bike is the 1st all black bike off the production line going to a customer. Once i get my bike i will post the vin# to confirm...i dont rule out murphy's law, a lot of things look good on paper...hehe.

Lucky dog, Tennessee is my home state. I bet it's still cold for riding there though. Called today at long beach BMW and its still on order. I got everything in the bike, hopefully that's not what's holding it back. Heated grips won't do me much use once this very mild winter is over here in sunny SoCal.

Here in Germany I can't even get a price for the new 2012. And on top of that once the price is "released" they said it will be another 90 days before the bike arrives.

I ordered my bike with heated grips too, I'm originally from Chicago, so i love these so called Tenn winters lol...it was 54 degress here yesterday, and suppose to get up to 60 by tues, still like the Windy City, the weather can be fickled here too, so imo its better to them and not need them than the other way around hehehe.

Thats crazy that u r in Germany where the bike is made, and cant get one before or the same time as other places. I was stationed in the Mannheim area for 6 yrs, its truely a beautiful country...oh how i would love to get the S1KRR on the autobahn, especially the sprint from Mannheim to Heidelberg Das BMW Motorrad ist sehr schnell und machte für die Autobahn.

I traded my 2010 Thunder Gray ( which was the 1st S1KRR the state) in for the 2012, I brainwrestled over what exhaust to get between the full Akro or the Inconnel AR, finally it came down to price. I was able to get a brand new full carbon Akro exhaust, & new PCV + install for $1000.00. I only had 100 miles on the pipe & pcv before i traded it in, and my dealer is going to swap all my after market pcs to the new bike and tune it at no charge. I may have to get new Watsen turn signals for a paint match, and a new Puig dark screen, we shall see.(Can u say " I Love My BMW Dealer!" ) If all goes according to plan i will post pix asap.

Atm the dealer is trying to help me decide on the HP Race ECU & CODE ($1800) or my current PCV with custom map (already paid for). According the maint dept, the HP Race ECU is plug & play and the bike doesnt need a PCV because its designed to work directly with the Akro, while on the other side trying to see if the 2012 will need or is compatible with the PCV, as soon as that is determined i will pull the trigger on the best choice...opinions or suggestions are welcomed.

I had a full Akro exhaust and PCV on my 2010. This time I'm going with the BMW full titanium Akro shorty with the HP race ecu and enabling code. A BMW executive told me that the engineers from the BMW race team spend many hours tweaking the HP race ecu and enabling code for the Akro shorty and it produces a great amount of power. Besides that, I've sold the exhaust from the 2010 along with the PCV and map toggle switch.

Congrats on getting your VIN. I will check on mine today....

The price list is available on the BMW homepage now for already several days (16.100). I ordered the S-RR on Dec 29th and got a confirmation for delivery in week 05.

Your dealer seems not to be informed very well ...
