Default 2012 Winglets

Is it possible to retrofit the new winglets found on the 2012 models to an older model without major surgery, if so what colors are they available in if anyone knows?
Thanks
Fran

Sooner or later someone will make a set in Carbon on Ebay.

My question is will they fit a 2010 S1000RR, or do the 2012's use different panels?

Do they make much of a difference to bother?

We already have them on the older bike, it's just integrated into the fairing. At least that's what I think when I look at my 2010 model and the new models little plastic thingy.

I saw the 2012 at the moto show this weekend and I looked at the winglets.I am almost 100% certain you can fit them on earlier models. The winglets are just held onto the side fairings with 2 screws. You would most likely have to drill 2 holes in your fairings to mount the winglets. The winglets are just plastic.

Nope, they don't fit without some engineering. The bolt patterns are different between the models.

Strange as the full body kit does ? Or will they only fit if fitting the full set of panels over ?

The fit using the two top screws on the side fairing. They don't fit on the fairing as the fairings are different shapes.

I tried fitting them the other day by taking a winglet off its 2012 and trying to fit to my 2011...even though I was told by the BMW engineer that they didn't fit.

After failure, I was ragged endlessly by the BMW dudes.
