Conti Sports attack and wheelies (Not Good)
Hi Everyone,
Finally I have ridden the bike of the rev limiter and had its first service. Absolutely love the bike now.
There is only one issue with the stock Tyres that come with the s1000rr.
(Mind you I can wheelie all day long on my CBR 1000rr)
I found these Conti sports attack to be extremly twitchy. Don't know if they have a taller profile than the Dunlops Q2's or what, but letting go of the handle bars coming to a set of stop lights or whatever it may be, the bike wants to fall over, as if it's on a piece of string.
Also trying to wheelie the Beemer (Yes TC is off) the bike wants to go to one side, this actually frightened me quite a bit since I have no issues wheeling on other bikes or tyres for that matter.
Has anyone had the same experience with these Sports attacks? Can someone test this out for me, does the bike feel like it wants to tip over when you let go of the handle bars?
I know I have only 1000Km's on these tyres but geez, the profile on these suck. They will be great for the track due to tip in, but that's about it.
Let me know your experiences guys.
I am just thinking I may get rid of these tyres because they suck so much. I am an advanced track rider and have been riding for years, I am not going to say I have no experience with bikes.

May have something to do with the Honda having a 190-50 series tire and the BMW has a 190-55 series tire.

I have 55's on my RC.
I would check the tire pressure to start with. Also if you are use to older Dunlops or Pirelli tires you may find a difference. But I'm willing to bet that your tire pressure is a little high. My dealer loves to put my tire pressures VERY high.

I had the q2 190/55 on my CBR. I love the 55 profile, these tyres seems almost narrower. What pressures you guys running front and rear on the contis?

The contis are super at high speeds and the feed back sucks the frt when changed was good but i never trusted them on a low lean . the POWER PURES I TRUST BUT NOW ON TURN INS IT CAN BE NOTCHIE

It may have something to do with my tyres being pretty new, maybe they need a little time to for the centre to flatten out.
Richard, what speeds were you doing and the bike held a straight line when you let go of the bars?

I checked the alignment, it's perfect, it also wobbles to both sides. 
Might def get the Q2's again.

The 55 series is better for corners. 50 is better for straight line. I have a bike with each on it and you can tell a difference when the front wheel comes off the ground. I can say that it takes some getting use to to ride wheelies on the 55 vs the 50. 50 feels alot more stable. check tire pressure too. Good luck with the wheelies and post some videos up here.
