wow...had you been looking at this bike beforehand so she knew what to get you? Buying a bike is, IMO, a rather personal choice, yet I must say, hard to go wrong with this bike

Looks like it already has some mods...like the dark windscreen and headlight covers.

Congrats. Hope you get to ride it soon

thanks everyone! i have been riding for 5 years and just recently got rid of my 929 erion ..my wife seeing the depression i had walking into the garage and not seeing any motorcyle, she took upon her own sneakiness/slickness searched my recent searches on my laptop and seen i was googling this bike and searching around this forum and she went to the nearest bmw dealer and not only bought me the bike but also got me a puig racing screen some hotbodies light covers and a tail tidy installed... i guess i married the right woman.... but onto the real woman... its 40 degrees here in newyork so i left her in rain and sport mode for the first 20 miles to get the tires used to the road, switched to race mode and i can only say one thing.. OMG i now am capable of burning the competition with one hand on the throttle and the other waving goodbye (using quick shifter lol) i can NOT wait for my 600 mile service so i can go above 7k rpm.. what an incredible machine... im looking forward to the summer and doing some performance mods and this forum is the best place to ask for advice and what not. glad to finally join

merry christmas to all, ride safe!

Congrats. You wont be disappointed. I have about 800 miles on mine now. My wife bought the same bike for me on dec 1( my birthday and christmas present). When the rev limiter comes off you will be in heaven. Power wheelies through third gear. Mine definitely brings a smile to my face. Enjoy the bike and wait a little while to do some power mods until you get used to the top end power.
