Angry Front number plates on a motorcycle!!!

Our great Victorian government has really gone and done it now. Not only are they adding more red light and speed cameras at intersections, the Police Minister Peter Ryan has said 'he will also adopt recommendations in the Auditor-General's report.' and one of those is:

PUTTING number plates on the front of motorcycles!!!!!

What a complete twat!!!
They only want to do that so the front facing cameras can also pick up motorcycles and therefore generate more revenue.

This will be at our own expense and will totally ruin the dynamics and airflow of the bike.
Where the frig can I put a plate on the beemer anyway.
Plus when it overheats and breaks down are they gonna pay for my recovery.

Thumbs down

Doubt it will happen. Wasn't it the British Gov who got rid of them in the first place. I forget why. Just another scumbag politician trying to get another feather in his cap or most prop just attention whoring as they do!!

You could bend it a bit at the middle and duct tape it to your windshield. Would look cool...

Hahaha ..... and maybe drill some holes and zip tie the bloody thing for extra safety.
Pffft, I dont even display a rear number plate when I go for a longer ride, as I need my licence for work.

A third plate shall be affixed to the helmet above the visor.

It might not look so bad , you'll just need a bigger fender

The front number plates on old bikes in the UK were mounted on the front mud-guard (fender) and were bloody dangerous acting like a knife in a collision. Furthermore they wouldn't be visible to a speed camera anyway !
Can't see how you could introduce a forward facing front plate to a modern bike.
I wouldn't worry about it...it will never happen.
