Default Re; 2012 ecu upgrades for 2010-11 ecu`s

HERE`S A QUESTION FOR SOME-ONE WHO MIGHT BE IN THE KNOW.
2021 MODELS HAD AN ECU UPGRADE, WILL THESE UPGRADES BE AVAILABLE FOR 10-11 MODELS. I KNOW A POWER COMMANDER 5 WILL FIX IT !!! BUT WHY BOTHER IF YOU CAN HAVE YOUR ECU UPDATED

There are at least three threads that have already discussed this. No one knows for sure (BMW hasn't said anything) but I view it as highly unlikely.

As does my stock bike. While a PCV may offer some advantages in the margins, there is nothing inherently wrong with the FI system on the stock bike that requires "fixing".

Further, since the advantages of a PCV occur mostly due to being free of having to pass an emissions test and since the 2012 ECU will have to pass the same (or possibly more stringent) emissions tests, if you think you need a PCV, you're going to want the PCV whether your bike is a 2010-11 or a 2012. IOW, the 2012 changes are unlikely to address anything that a PCV would address.
