Default Anyone have the HeliBars TracStar Handlebars???

Looked at the write-up and pictures of the Apex bars and have seen a few other varieties here as well. Looks like the Apex bars have a few issues I would prefer to avoid (drilling holes, new bar ends, etc.) but they are definitely more economical. I'm not particularly concerned with adjustability...and I have purchased Helibars in the past and was very happy with the quality and ease of installation.

Looking for some feedback from others who have installed the Helibars...

If you search, I think you'll find some threads about this which are informative. But, that said, I did go with Heli bars and am quite happy. It depends a bit on what you are looking for. They don't change the riding position too much, so it's not like riding a naked bike. But the little rise they provide was enough for me. More importantly they change the angle at the wrists, which made a big improvement in comfort for me. Best yet, I didn't notice any disadvantages at the track. So complete win IMO: looks like stock, more comfortable, and still works great. :thumbsup

Might be wrong but I think you'll still have to be drilling holes to mount the controls. I always ditch the bar ends anyway.
As for the adjustability, the apex (or any other bar) can only be raised a little without having fairing contact issues.

Keep us posted on how it turns out!

One of the first things i did is installing the helibars. I've got short arms and found that i'm leaning forward too much, thus not being able to look more that 4 to 5 meters in front of my front wheel, and also experiencing neck pain. I changed to the helibars, and it's a different bike. I ended up racing the bike in our club championship this year, and kept them on, so from my side it's thumbs up for helibars.

No need to drill holes or any technical stuff. They bolt right on, instructions are very clear and straightforward. Very nice product, as other have said a vast improvement without a penalty of any kind. Took all of about 45 minutes to install. Here's a comparison, stock bar in front, Heli in the rear.

I see in the pic that they are pre drilled.
