Default BMW S1000RR or RSV4?

Hi i`m a bit stuck..
i have test ride the bmw and it blowed me away biiiiiiig time,i love it from the first second, perfect position incredible power and a beauty.
i test ride the rsv4 too and i love it too a lot.....
can any one share some comments in terms of reliability and cost running (service cost and how much and how often for major service).
i commute all year around and do track days, would you say the bmw can commute no problems?
many thanks

I believe that Italian bikes tend to cost more to maintain and also allow less do it your self work. Specially modern ducs.

cost of service to me isnt a big deal (although I would say the Ape wil be a little bit higher (but not much) but If I were to buy an RSV4 it wouldnt be the base model but the Factory APRC now if you are comparing those bikes, think of what a bad ass S1K you can build and be under the price of a RSV4 APRC plus how did hte ergos fit you (which bike was more comfy) kust as and FYI the bike I sold for the S1RR was an 07 RSVR Factory and the two bikes I considered swapping two were the RSV4 APRC and the S1RR

ha funny you should mention; I was in the same situation last week!

I went with the S1000RR over the RSV4 APRC for a few reasons:

-I wanted to try out the race ABS
-S1000RR is faster
-RSV4 dealer didn't even have the navigator to update mapping
-S1000RR was cheaper
-S1000RR had more warranty (and less likely to break)
-BMW customer service is a million times better than Aprilias
-I looked way too big on the RSV4 (6'2" 220lbs)

and some other reasons that I forgot.

But the RSV4 is a beautiful machine with great sound not to mention relatively rare. Not much good if its broken down though. It was a tough choice!
Since you're on the S1000RR forum I think we already know you're about to make the right choice Best thing to do is buy both!!

After I took the S1000RR out for a good ride in the twisties I forgot all about the Aprilia....
