Default Pcv/ dyno question

Playing around on the dyno with pcv. Noticed the gear position always stays in gear 1

Seeing there is no connection from pcv to gps I assume this is normal?

Can anyone confirm this??

Humm i was waiting for someone else to answer but i will take a shot at it. On my Bazzaz it can tell what gear i am in based on the GPS on the bike. I can tune gear separately. The PCV is suppose to do the same thing. If you are suppose to be able to tune each gear separately then you have to ta into the GPS on the bike.

Where are you getting the information about the Bazzaz (or PCV for that matter) getting information from a GPS on this bike? I have never heard this and I have spent countless hours on the phone with Bazzaz and numerous emails.

There isn't a GPS on the bike (stock). For the PCV, if you want gear specific maps, you need to tap into the speed sensor wire found under the seat that is coming from the rear sensor.

Here's a write up --> DIY: PCV - Enabling the Gear Selection Option for Custom Fuel Maps for Each Gear

GPS=Gear Position Sensor. The information i have on the bazzaz is the one i have on my 2007 R1. I can tune each gear differently. the Bazzaz taps into a sensor on the bike that tells it what gear you are in. Everything I have heard says the PCV works the same way.

You are correct. I was taking your GPS as something different than Gear Position Sensor. I apologize.

The GPS you are referring to is typically found on the topside of the gear box... this bike doesn't have one. Take a look at the link I provided above. You will see where you can tap into if you're interested in gear specific maps.

**this kinda reminds me of one my favorite movie question quotes : Excuse me, why does God need a starship? **

If the S1Kr doesn't have a GPS, how does it display the gear?

It doesn't have the one we're all use to seeing sitting on top of the gear box, unless you got a special model or something
