Default Main Beam / Flasher failed

Since swapping my bars for the AC Schnitzer flat bars, I can't switch to main beam and the flasher doesn't work. I have stripped the switch down, and can't see anything out of place or damaged, all the wires appear to be intact.
As my bike was due for its first annual service, I asked my dealer to check it out, but they just came back and said I need a new switch, not on warranty as I must have broken it.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the bike that shows which wire to the legt hand switch assembly does what?

Does anyone have a second hand switch assembly for sale?

Anyone else had this problem?

The switch seems flakey, as when I put it back together, nothing on the LHS worked, took it off, everything worked, put it back again, everything (except the flasher switch) works again..

Could it be that the switch requirs an earth return via the bars?

Thanks for any info.

You should not have taken it apart.

Same happened to me and the dealer replaced it under warranty.

Do a search as this topic has been covered in detail

this new (to BMW) switch gear, is known to fail across all model lines (not sure of K16 bikes yet but all previous) seems either something you did or just bad timming but either way it gives your dealer an easy out on warranty coverage
not mine (no connectionto the item or seller) but a quick search and his came up

Default Thanks

Thanks guys
Good to know how reliable they are!
Of course, whether I took it apart or not makes no odd, just the fact that I changed the bars was their get-out.
I missed out on that ebay item, although it looked a bit grubby, but another search on ebay bagged me a brand new one from Germany for 100 Euros. A bit cheaper than the $480 quoted by my dealer.

Cheers
