Default Heated grips on my '11?

Anybody know if the heated grips option will be available to install on '11 and '10 models?

That's like putting a pink dog sweater on a 110 lb German Shepard.

It should be a easy retrofit, as long as you can replace your throttle tube, clutch side grip+sleeve and throttle side switch assembly. I don't think it would require any re-programming and the wiring should be pretty straightforward.

So no one knows for sure...? OK, I'm going to send an email to the dealer.... Definitely a pleasant "pink dog sweater" to have in these winter months....

EDIT: here's the reply from dealer: "BMW has not released anything yet stating whether or not the heated grips will be interchangeable with the older models. I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to do that….but we will have to wait and find out"

+1, heated gloves (gerbing t5's), are the way to go in cold weather. The heated grips won't get the finger tips or the back of hand. The gloves actually are a bit TOO toasty, would use only when REALLY cold.
