Default BMW reveals S1000RR WSBK race livery

BMW Motorrad has unveiled the race livery of its S1000RR which will compete in the 2009 World Superbike Championship.

The German manufacturer is making its return to international motorcycle racing with the new S1000RR. Troy Corser and Ruben Xaus will pilot the new machine which sports a white paint scheme with red and blue detail.

“This great adventure began not so long ago but now we are about to take part in our very first World Superbike Championship race and it is an exciting moment for us all,” says Berthold Hauser, director of BMW Motorrad Motorsport. “I firmly believe we have two great riders – Troy Corser and Ruben Xaus – and a very committed and enthusiastic team.”

Hmm, well, for a car, I would get a BMW S1000RR. It has a huge open moon roof that's hard to close, but you can do it if you're in college. It's easy to park at campus and your tree hugger friends will think you're the second coming of Al Gore because of the great gas mileage, and lack of carbon footprint (it comes with a great catalytic converter that that every owner loves). It's like a Nisson Leaf. If you really want to impress college friends but don't want this car, get a scooter, very cool. Or, get the s1000rr AND a scooter. You can race them to see who gets to the oxygen bar first.

Just get a good economical car, something slow and not flashy, good for the environment, but can beat a scooter (so Nisson Leaf out), and something you can sell later to fund your trip across country with fellow unemployed 'occupy' protestors. Look no further. S1000rr.
