My bad, you are correct. The carbon piece that holds the plate is actually called a badge holder. The carbon badge carrier is actually a set but isn't listed as such.

Anyone in USA NOT get a tinted windshield? Noticed spec sheet makes no mention of this now.

But I know I saw somewhere where it said a carbon license plate holder... That vanished as well....Some people are getting clear shields on the Comp?

My shield was tinted.
I check my plate holder and the bracket that holds the plate holder and both are plastic, not carbon.

I think he was just asking. I don't think there have been any reported cases of clear wind screens.

LOL that one doesn't mention the carbon badge carriers. Guess we don't know for sure what we are getting until the bike is unboxed

I have posted pics of mine right after it was uncrated. The rear plate holder is plastic, as is the chainguard. The lights look to be normal bulbs. It also appears BMW may be updating their website quickly and constantly. I will take detailed pics when I pick mine up this weekend (figures I have a business trip all the way through Friday night while mine waits for me , but I have to make money to pay for it, to ride it).

I have however already submitted a letter to my dealer attaching the U.S. media document asking that it be forwarded to BMW NA to see what restitution or planned exchange is underway for all of us owners affected by this.

Yeah, the fact Canada has nothing on thier website about the HP4's has made it apparent that I had to go on the main sites specs. I want my carbon badge holder
