HP4 Lightweight Battery

They had one out of the shell I could've sworn it was a lithium battery... Here area couple of picts a lil bigger for you.

That top looks like it has a removable cover where the acid is added - AGM I think.

Ok.. I pulled my seat off.

Its a Yuasa YTZ7S for the brand / size.

And..... Drum roll please....... It says electrolyte filled.
So there you go. Lead acid.
It is not a Lythium ion.

I bet a 10 amp/hr lythium weigh less and give us more cca.

Same size as my wifes CBR125, I wonder how it will crank on the colder days?

Ok I just ordered a Shorai Lithium battery -LFX09L2-BS12

I went with a 9 vs a 7 to get a few more CCA 135 vs 102

battery dimensions are the same- Lenght 4.45in, Width 2.28in, Height 3.5in

Weight for the 9 is 1.27lbs
Weight for the 7 is 1.06lbs
Weight of the stock is around 4.5lbs per Yuasa site, so not a huge savings, but it all adds up.

The length on the Shorai is slightly bigger than ours... 4.25 vs 4.45 so might need to cut a bit on the base of the box in the bike... I'll see when it arrives.

You can get the battery on Amazon. Shorai USA is local to me(Sunnyvale CA).I just rode up to them and walked out with one. Great people.

Thanks for checking. Let us know when it comes in. The Shorai looks nice & $100 less than what I was going to get.

Sears.com, but subs out the orders to dvolt.
I got my previous one there.
They were the cheapest + free shipping.
Had no issues last order so got from them again.
$110 shipped with tax.
I should have right around Christmas.
