You should find a blue that would match better. But yeah rim tape is a great option if you bought the STD. Also then no one would scorn you for having a "fake" competition model (like if you painted the wheels)

The BST front wheel is going to be different on the HP4. The HP's rotors aren't going to work on the BST S1K fitment. The HP4 has a traditional front rotor design. I offered my bike to Brock's Performance (BST US importer) to get measurements for the HP4 when it comes in.
I would think if you have a complete front S1K BST w/s1k rotors it would mount up to the HP4. I hope to find out soon.
I have BST's on my 2012 and plan on putting them on my HP4. I hope it works with the HP4's rotors but if not, I'll use my Galfer wave rotors and offer the HP4 rotors for sale.

I don't understand. If you want a competition then wait for one, no? Sounds like your going to have buyers remorse for not getting the comp, and if you put a deposit on both then isn't your option still open for the comp?

I did have the comp on order, but was 4th in the queue. They only got 2. So I could wait and risk it, or bird in the hand!! The only thing I like from the comp are the wheels. Don't care about the carbon.
