Deposit down on a 2013 HP4 Standard!!
Can't wait now!! Told the dealer I want to see it in the crate, and take pictures unwrapping it!!
Didn't see the need for all the CF bits. Wouldn't mind the blue wheels, but probably won't keep it clean enough anyway!! So no competition package for me.
Now, what to do with my 2002 CBR 954? Still love her, has 50,000 km on her!!
How many days to go until Spring??

Meant this base one instead of the comp version. The comp only really provides bling.

Carbon Fiber isn't bling. It's weight reduction, well, at least that's the idea.

Yup, my thoughts as well; hence, my order for the Standard Model as well.
I can appreciate the beauty and weight reduction of the CF but too overpriced by my pragmatic yardstick. Then there's the issue of repairing scratches etc.

Plus I might add a few pieces as desired later. And I will never keep the blue wheels clean enough. Granted the cf looks great!! But I am already 30 lbs over weight, so until I am at my goal weight, I don't see spending $5k for save a couple of lbs! If I won the lottery, sure, comp all the way

LOL, did the exact same thing yesterday. Put a deposit on the std HP4 model. Couldn't see the extra $5k for the comp version myself but also inquired about the blue wheels vs black. They suggested powder coat the black once they arrive. We'll see. I just think those blue wheels really set off that color scheme!
