That's the shipping weights including packaging. The cf parts are all lighter than the plastic, I've held both in my hands. Especially the belly pan. Oooh, the belly pan, a beautiful piece of work. Overall the cf bits are maybe 2 pounds lighter, just enough to compensate for the extra stickers.

Ill be stripping my bike down shortly in preparation for moving my CF bits over. I'll do a side by side weight comparison for everything. I have the HP tank holders and rear fender. The badge holders and bellypan I have are ilmberger but should be close as they are made in the same factory.
I really do believe the HP levers and rearsets are heavier, I'll do a side by side for those as well.

HP Badge Holders - .76
Ilmberger Rear Fender w/ Chain Guard - .45, just an FYI.
New Math above. Assume the rest of the weights are correct. The HP rearset weight online was WAY off, besides that, everything was spot on!
If anyone wants to do standard tank holders, badge holders, lower fairings or HP Rear Fender I think we'd have a very close estimate
Also, I weighed a few other random things. Let me know if you are interested.

Has BMW released a parts list for the HP4 yet? I would like to know how much the CF lower is going to cost me. If its $1500 or more I may add it into the loan.

Thanks for posting the weights. I'm glad I ordered my lighter, standard model with lightweight aluminum wheels, albeit in black

keep in mind that HP carbon is heavy. That beautiful gloss...that's many coats of lacquer. And if you don't think paint makes a difference...Ferrari used paint coats so thin on the carbon fiber bodied F40 and F50 that up close, you could see the weave, and it looked pretty crappy. But it saved weight - several kilograms IIRC.
"race" carbon is both lighter and cheaper, but it won't have that sexy deep gloss look. But if you're serious about shaving weight, and don't mind having dull-appearing carbon, than race-spec carbon bits are the ticket.
