Unless you put a deposit on one 3 months ago, good luck. I talked to my nearest dealer 5 weeks ago. They were getting 3, which were all spoken for several weeks before I came in.

Just call around. There are quite a few base HP4 models still available. I just put a deposit on a competition edition this week. I had to go out of state to do so. If you don't mind a little road trip or just shipping the bike there are still bikes out there.

I don't say it's out of the question to find, just said good luck. It was just my experience here. I'm sure there will be several that get ordered, and the prospective buyer backs out.

BTW. Are you a musical metalhead? Or is that another meaning?

You aren't going to get any less than MSRP since they are so rare. I think the base is ~$20K and the competition is almost ~$25K.

I imagine some dealers are jacking the price up even more since everyone wants one.

I would just start calling every dealer in every state nearby (or far away) and see if you can get one or get on the list as a back up. I waited a couple weeks and I could no longer find one in my state and had to find one 2 states away to order. The competition models are going to be the ones a lot harder to come by.

Which one did you ride?

How is the fit and finish? One thing I didn't really care for on my 2010 S1000 is that the fairing seems a bit cheap. I hope with the carbon bits and the cost of this bike that the fairing actually feels like it is more that a cheap piece of plastic.

How was the rest of the bike compared to the standard HP4 in regard to the ride?
