I sent away for it on thanksgiving weekend, and it just came in beginning of this week, wanted to make sure I had it first in Iowa, but considering there is only 1 comp coming to the state and 3 standards I am sure I was good anyways.
Thats really odd.. I guess there could be one HP4 plate in Iowa and one in Cali..
And someone else must also have HP4 Cali cause like I said I put in for mine Jul/ Aug
And that one was taken.
Oh well I'm actually really happy with what I got.
I tried to get HP4 back in September with no luck. HPBMW & HP IV is still available. I only get 5 spaces to choose from.
The wife likes VIER (German for the number 4)
I don't know what number my bike will be yet. HP 357 would be cool.
Not HP related but At high speeds or distances it looks like a bunch of squiggly lines and impossible to make out.... I could always add a B in the beginning...
Well, all of my choices had been taken (DUCSLYR and DUCHNTR). DUCKLLA was denied because of all the environmentalist BS that was sayin it meant Kill Ducks....smh). Gotta love Cali! So I ended up goin with something more simple.

I finally decided today to get BMWHP4
and have it reserved for when my bike arrives (4 weeks and counting)
I'll transfer NCC1701 to my CBX, I think it suits the old CBX better anyway.
My buddy has DIX TUB on his bike and they never said anything. He has had it for years.... Then again Florida really doesn't care about much.... Which state took your IMDTF? That's insane they can't do that....
In SA, I could get BMWHP 4 with annoying gap between the P and the 4 for a one off payment of $180, or without the gap for an annual fee of $300
I chose the one off fee - now to a signwriter to make up a plate without the gap
wow plates are way more reasonable in SA...... my plate cost me 495 one off and i have to live with the seperator : /
not fair that every price tag is jacked up in VIC lol
